My Beloved dog Ashton died on September 17, 2007. She has been a part of my life as long as my husband. Since her death I have reflected on what heaven is all about. Will there be animals there? My feeling of loss is so intense. I never expected to be so impacted by her death. I envision her walking around heaven keeping the Lord company. I hope she will be there.

We were having our Family Home Evening on Monday night. We do this weekly, where we have a spiritual message with some songs, activities and stuff. Our lesson this week was about gaining knowledge. We had a little game where the girls guessed what they could take to heaven and what they couldn't. They wondered about our beloved Kitty Bear. I reasurred them that she would be there with us. Animals are part of the family.

I am so sorry to hear about your dog. That is so hard! The only thing that I have found that helps with losing a beloved pet is to get another one. Time also helps. You guys should let Audrey pick on out.
